Certain items can restore health for the player, others can add more experience points. Other items in Mighty Final Fight are weapons; a certain weapon is available for each of the characters. Mike received a hammer , Cody gets a knife , and Guy gets ninja throwing stars.

The player can pick one of three characters. Each character varies in terms of strength, speed and length of their health meter.

Mike Haggar is the slowest, but the strongest, and has more attack moves in his arsenal. Guy's attack strength is the weakest, but he's also the fastest, he can also delver more hits in his combo attack. Cody is the most balanced character of the game. There are two bonus stages in the game - it's a chance for the player to earn either more lives, continues, or experience points.

The objective of the bonus stage is the player has to destroy oil drums that roll or bounce across the screen.

Destroying a certain amount will result to either a item that will give more experience points or more continues; destroying all of them will result to two more lives added - which is more valuable than the continues.

The progression of the game is the player going through a stage while beating up and and all enemies that get in the way. Though it's not a easy as it seems, enemies will back away from the player, playing mind games with the player and baiting the player into a false attack. Once that happens, that's when the enemy goes for the attack. Capcom made a very smooth move with this game in almost making a parody of Final Fight!

All three characters have been retained here, and the remarkable thing is so are their moves! However, there is some horrible breakup. Mighty Final Fight is a great parody of their terrific Final Fight. The characters can do their powerful attacks just like before. While it is only a one-player game, the pure fun and originality make up for this loss. Overall, it's a great game that every age group can really enjoy.

The game play is very good with lots of techniques and plenty of action. A bit slow at times but bad flicker when the action gets intense. This is a neat parody on Final Fight. The graphics are good for the NES and all the moves from the other versions are here. They managed to keep all the characters but it's only a one-player game.

For 8-Bit it's an excellent job and a good spoof, even if you're not a fan of Final Fight, you will enjoy the cartoon-like look and feel. The gangs have been getting pretty vicious in Metro City, in fact the largest one has kidnapped the Mayor's daughter, Jessica!

Her boyfriend Cody wants her back and he is ready to pound some punks into the pavement! Cody's friend Guy is willing to lend a helping hand to show off his martial arts skills.

The Mayor isn't going to just watch this happen though, he is going out to battle, too! It is an all-out battle extravaganza. Each character has their own special move to provide hard-hitting action. While the game is a bit scaled down, it contains all the fun of Final Fight! A NES fan's delight! You can play one of two characters: the huge, muscle-bound Haggar, or the slighter, but quicker, Cody. If we can expect more direct translations like this, we can also expect a lot of gaming excitement. Metro City used to be a calm place where children could roam freely without harm. That was before Belger and his goons took charge of the biggest crime wave ever to hit Metro City. To top it off, Belger has even kidnapped the Mayor's beautiful daughter! Guy, Cody, and Haggar are all included as well as, yes, two player simultaneous play! Now, two fighting machines can battle the forces of Belger through the heart of downtown Metro City.

All the stages from the arcade have been faithfully redone along with a jammin' CD soundtrack! Featuring all of the intense punch and kick action of the coin-op version, this cart has lost very little in the translation. The graphics are virtually identical, pixel for pixel and the sounds are first rate. You must battle your way through more than five different levels of action filled with street punks, wrestlers, and samurai swordsmen. Final Fight is a fighting extravaganza filled with loads of action and challenge from beginning to end.

A "punching and kicking free-for-all" best describes Capcom's arcade hit. Final Fight has been translated to the Super Famicom almost perfectly it's minus the two player mode. It's no wonder it tops the Super Famicom game chart in Japan.

You'll kick some major behind in subways, seedy warehouses, and wrestling rings. It's a good thing Cody is a veteran karate champ, and Haggar is one of the greatest street fighters that ever lived. Street fighting game fans rejoice. Cap-com has taken the hit arcade game Final Fight and brought it home to the SF.
